That time of year is upon us once more, and The Craic Horse are busy getting their act together in time to entertain all you craic addicts for 15 sets across 9 gigs at 7 different venues! Sadly, there will be no international gigs this year, but those of you in Singapore are in for a treat!
What to expect this year? Well, we are delighted to be back at Muddy Murphy's again at the end of February, to give you all a taster of what is to come in March.. and then we'll be doing a very special acoustic set on 1st March at Féile 25, a family Irish festival being held at the Australian International School. Féile 25 will also have performances by some very good friends, including Gan Ainm and the Irish Inspirational Dancers, as well as a trad session, a guided ceili dance, kids activities and food & drink. Tickets are $8 per adult and $3 per child (or $20 for a family pass) and can be bought at https://www.comhaltassingapore.org/
As we get closer to St Patrick's Day we will be doing our usual warm up at The British Club on Thursday 13th, before opening the annual St Patrick's Street Festival on Friday 14th. Across that weekend we'll be very busy, debuting at both The Tanglin Club and Hero's Bar, as well as heading back to our old haunt Molly Malone's. Having opened the Street Festival, we also have the privilege of headlining the main stage on the final day, Sunday 16th, after it has been graced by several other fantastic acts including Gan Ainm and Boys from the County Hell... but we're not done there!
St Patrick's Day this year falls on a Monday for the first time in 11 years, which means we get to prolong the weekend just a little... and are looking forward to rounding off an epic month on Monday 17th at Molly Malone's, with support from fantastic soloist Kevin McCabe.
All in all, it's looking like the party of the year, so make sure you head along to a few of the sets and raise a glass to St Pat with us!
Sláinte!
